Through Targeted Support and Early Intervention, with a clear focus on preventative approaches, SALT can offer tailored support to reduce the need for specialist services or expensive outsourced provision. We recognise that early and targeted intervention are essential elements of a safe and contained environment, allowing for Children to be supported to develop, learn and grow.
Targeted support relies on a whole school and/or setting approach to early intervention, and focuses on positive relationships within the school or setting. All stakeholders have a significant role to play in promoting a positive and supportive school culture, which offers a proactive approach and preventative outlook.
The early identification of children and young people that are 'at risk' is the first important step in the development of systems and strategies that offer ongoing, accessible and professional support.
SALT can support early identification through the introduction or further development of a therapeutic environment, based on the strengthening of relationships to support outcomes. Through our enhanced approaches to behaviour, resilience and emotional well-being, we can offer intensive support to settings with the greatest of need, or those with a passion to support inclusion based on therapeutic principles.
We recognise that services are often more accessible in schools and/or homes where children feel safe, secure and contained, and we will work with you to identify the most suitable environment to work within.
SALT offers specialist expertise to develop effective provision and additional support for children and young people through: Safeguarding, Prevention, Inclusion, Intervention, Early Help and Support.
Do you have children that are signifying a need for 'help' through the communication of a pattern of behaviours that can often be emotionally difficult to comprehend?
SALT's early intervention and preventative approach, ensures that Children and Young People are supported to access the curriculum, through a creative, tailored, and developmentally sensitive early intervention programme. For further information or an early informal discussion please contact us.
